Open Access Policy
At the Journal of Medical Advances (JOMA), we are committed to promoting open access to scholarly research in the medical field. Our Open Access Policy ensures that all published articles are freely available to readers without any subscription or payment barriers. This policy reflects our belief that unrestricted access to research promotes the dissemination of knowledge, fosters innovation, and enhances collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and the general public.
All articles published in JOMA are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which allows authors to retain copyright while permitting others to distribute and build upon their work, provided appropriate credit is given. We encourage authors to share their research widely to maximize its impact and reach.
To support our open access commitment, we do not charge readers for access to articles. Instead, we operate on an Article Processing Charge (APC) model, where authors or their institutions are charged a fee to cover the costs of editorial and publishing services. This enables us to maintain high standards of publication while ensuring that research remains accessible to everyone.
In line with the principles of open access, JOMA also encourages authors to deposit their manuscripts in institutional repositories and other platforms to further increase visibility and accessibility. We believe that making research openly available not only benefits the authors and readers but also contributes to the advancement of medical science as a whole.
